hi! been a minute!
well, where do i start? i've pretty much abandoned a lot of things i used to do. isn't that weird? do you guys do that too? i haven't touched this blog or my belonging bear account in forever. i don't know why. i have the time to do both. they just haven't really been in my orbit recently.
anyways, let's catch up.
uh... i saw ariana grande.
i realized not a lot of people knew how much i love her. i obviously started listening to her from the beginning, and i've always loved her, but when she released dangerous woman, i really fell in love with her as an artist. i listened to her all the time, and then when sweetener came out, my life was changed forever.
sweetener is such a solid album through and through. some people might argue that thank u, next is a better album, but to me, it's always going to be sweetener. it's a prime example of an album meeting you where you are in life. she released it at the perfect time for me, and it was exactly the soundtrack i needed in 2019.
her show was insane. there is no one like her in this world.
i met muna??? hello???
they had an album signing at amoeba records in hollywood for their latest album. i got in line and was trying my best to stay calm, lol. when it was my turn to meet them, i thanked them for playing promise at their shows that weekend. allie and i were in complete disbelief when they started playing it. tears were also shed when they played the extended version of i know a place.
i still don't know how to describe what it meant to be able to meet them. they are my favorite band of all time. what do i even say to them? i don't remember exactly what else i said. i definitely blacked out for a moment.
anyways... l.a. is crazy.
i went to rush with my dad!!!
i got to witness him totally geek out. it was so much fun, and i was so extremely impressed by getty, alex, and anika. such a special night that i'll remember forever.
i have a few other shows lined up for the end of the year.
phoebe bridgers is back. how did i not lead with this???
someone told me that i manifested this, but if that's true, this would have happened three years ago. she has not left my mind this whole time. i love phoebe, her songwriting, and her wit. i cannot wait to hear everything she has in store for us.
ok that is it for now. talk soon! or maybe not! who knows! that's life!
