everything is new

HIIII!!!

it has been a minute. i moved and have started a new job and my brain has been mush for the past few weeks. now that i have had some time to adjust, i thought i would come back and talk a little bit about what i have been listening to and talk about recent music newssss (new newsssss, iykyk).

like. you're joking.

ok for starters, i am currently diving head first into Audrey Hobert's new album, Who's the Clown?. i imagine this album was written with a glitter pen in a lisa frank notebook that has cheeto dust on the pages. i mean that in the best way and if you get it, you get it! this album is electric, raw and it reminds me to not care what others think or really about anything at all. i love her.

dijon has put out a new album, thank GOD! i loved Absolutely and have been waiting patiently for more. dijon's sound is so nostalgic to me. i know it is so widely loved but The Dress will forever be such a special song. i get really stuck listening to the same things over and over again, this album has been so refreshing.

other random things i have been throwing on are:

• ELIO's new album autonomy. go listen. her voice is a trance. i love Lucky October.

• when i need motivation for anything, i listen to Gnarly by KATSEYE. immediately makes me feel better.

• Either by Tiny Habits is pure joy in a song. their voices are unmatched.

• Good Swimmer by Carol Ades is so catchy and i love her lyrics.

as for new NEWSSSS. the life of a FREAKING SHOWGIRLLLLL!!!!!! october 3rd. taylor swift y'all.

taylor album announcement days are the best days ever. the excitement for a new era is so fun and you get prepared for all the madness that is going to come along with it. i truly hope everyone has someone like taylor in their lives. i hope you have a little world you can escape to feel safe, excited, heard, seen, and loved!!!! she definitely gives me that & i can't wait to see where she takes us with this project. an album that sounds familiar to 1989 and reputation with folklore writing???? that is my BIG THREE. i am going to be sick. i love her.

other new releases i have been listening to are ethel cain's Willoughby Tucker, I'll Always Love You and conan gray's Wishbone. will report back once i fully digest these releases but so far I am loving Dust Bowl and Eleven Eleven.
